Areas of Involvement

In order to translate its vision, its goal, its objectives in concrete facts on the ground, the L.G.D. initiates and carries out in rural medium, on the basis of need expressed by the population recipients, of the projects and programs cofinanced by the O.N.G and the recipients themselves. These fields of intervention are:

  • Agriculture and environment: within the framework of the promotion of the agriculture and environmental protection, the L.G.D. supports the communities and the groupings. The supports brought to the various target groups are of an organisational, technical and financial nature.
  • Promotion of small animal breeding: in its program of support to the development, the L.G.D. envisaged a shutter for the promotion of small animal breeding. It supports the stockbreeders on the material, technical and financial level.
  • Support with the generating activities of returned: within the framework of the support to the generating activities of returned, the L.G.D. works with the women who make the transformation and the marketing of the agricultural produce.
  • Community health: in this field, the L.G.D. installs boxes of health, in collaboration with the communities of the farms and the wedged villages. The L.G.D. also intervenes as regards sensitizing of the populations on the fight against the VIH/SIDA and STI in the farms and villages wedged and the ambient conditions.
  • Community projects: in this field, the O.N.G carries out the realization and the construction of the Community infrastructures such as the construction and the rehabilitation of the school buildings, of the centers of health, the installation of the boxes of health in the moved back farms, the tracing of the tracks for the opening-up of the wedged zones, the installation of the latrines public, the construction of the storerooms to help the peasants to be able to preserve their products.
  • Cultural exchange and reception of the foreign trainees: the L.G.D. organizes camps building sites with foreign volunteers for exchanges of ideas and cultures. It intervenes in tourism and also accomodates the foreign trainees in the fields of the breeding, agriculture, the bee-keeping…
  • Formation: L.G.D.forme leaders of country associations and young people in agriculture and breeding.

ZONES Of INTERVENTION

 

The L.G.D. being a national O.N.G intervenes in all the areas and prefectures of the own territory. For this purpose, it has antennas in the various cities of the country.

The populations in general and those of the rural zones in particular constitute the target groups of the L.G.D.
